The room is the notable thing: reviewers describe a multi-level warren of staircases and carved woodwork salvaged from churches, repeatedly comparing it to something from Lord of the Rings. Getting there: About as central as Glasgow gets: Buchanan Street subway is a minute from the door and Queen Street station two minutes, giving direct trains to Edinburgh and the north.
