🧤 THE 'CRAZY HANDS' STORY 🧤

Check out Crazy Hands on Instagram 📲

University of Kent alumnus Sandeep Sharma, aka ‘Crazy Hands’, is inviting students and staff to help set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of white-gloved dancers. The event is in aid of Ataxia UK, a charity dedicated to supporting those living with ataxia - a condition that has personally impacted Sandeep’s life.

Ataxia is a rare neurological condition that affects balance, speech, and coordination, leaving around 10,000 adults and 500 children in the UK living with its debilitating symptoms. Currently, there is no cure, and treatment options are limited. Sandeep, who was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2 (SCA2), has seen his life change dramatically, with mobility, fatigue, and dexterity becoming daily challenges.

Despite these challenges, Sandeep’s passion for life and his determination to make a difference have led him to launch this ambitious fundraising campaign, where he aims to bring together the largest number of white-gloved dancers in history. A legendary personality at The Venue and other Canterbury nightclubs between 2008-2019, white gloves were a signature part of Crazy Hands' unique dance style and he’s excited to return to the dance floor to raise both awareness and funds for Ataxia UK.
