For December’s event, we are having one Energy Club in the North West – the perfect chance for Manchester and Merseyside members to meet. We are also pleased to announce that Officials from DECC will be joining us for this meeting.
Tuesday 1st December, 10am – 12:30. Please arrive 15 mins early – we will begin at 10am prompt. Please join us for lunch afterwards.
Topic: Using the Energy Clubs to influence
o 10am – Introductions and outline of the morning
o 10.10am – Round the room – 2 minute updates
o 10.40 – Workshop: Understanding incentives to invest and simplifying carbon reporting. Facilitated by Haydn Young (Head of Energy Club Network/GAIA) and DECC Officials.
o 12.10 – Break
o 12.20 – Introduction to Travis Perkins Omega and energy efficiency investments
o 12.30 – Tour of new distribution centre – please bring steel toe cap boots if you have them – all other PPE will be supplied on the day. Tour will last for a maximum of one hour.
o Please join us for lunch afterwards at the local Harvester, (Gemini 8 Apollo Park, Burtonwood & Westbrook, Warrington, Cheshire, WA5 7YA). Please specify if you will be joining us for lunch on your sign-up form. Please note - everyone will pay for their own lunch!

The Energy Club is a regional self-help network of practitioners accountable for sustainability and energy reduction in their workplaces. The Clubs' aims are simple: to share experiences, gain knowledge, debate legislation and support one another in achieving energy reduction and sustainability goals
All clubs are FREE to attend and members can join any of the clubs, subject to being:
• High energy users (over £500,000 per annum)
• OR part of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC), Climate Change Agreement (CCA) or equivalent schemes
• OR part of Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)
All meetings operate under 'Chatham House Rules'. Participants are free to use the information from the meeting, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speakers, nor that of any other participant may be revealed.
