We’re back with another round of Matchbox - and this time, we're bringing the magic to an exciting new venue: the Story Bridge Hotel in Kangaroo Point! Get ready for a night of sparks, surprises, and a little AI wizardry to help you discover your most compatible match. 😉

The event will be held in the Bridge Bar and Garden of the Story Bridge Hotel – one of Brisbane’s most iconic and beloved pubs. Nestled beneath the historic Story Bridge, this heritage-listed venue combines old-world character with contemporary charm. With its lush outdoor spaces, classic Queensland architecture, and vibrant social energy, it’s the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of connection.

Unfamiliar with Matchbox? Basically, it's super fun software that uses relationship science! The algorithm has matched more than half a million people across 40 countries and optimises for long-term compatibility, based on values - but it's up to you to see if you'll click. 🫶🏼

How it works:

• Upon arrival, you'll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your hosts.
• The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel-Pize winning economics.
• After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!
• Must arrive BEFORE 8:00PM to join AI Matching.

Event Structure:

• 7:00pm - the event begins and everyone starts mingling
• 8:00pm - doors close*, the algorithm begins computing matches
  *Please note, you will be denied entry if you arrive post 8pm.
• 8:00 - 8:45pm - a series of clues are released
• 9:00pm - matches revealed
  
  Who's it for:

• The matching process is highly intentional - come with an open mind!
• If your match isn't love at first sight, that's okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you'll be values-aligned.
• At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.

FYI - We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. If this happens you will receive a free ticket to a future event of your choice.
