Brighton-based singer-songwriter Dave Alex, 24, crafts acoustic music rooted in folk and coloured by jazz, blues, and soul. Inspired by artists such as John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, and Olivia Dean, his songs explore introspective themes, treading the line between bare-bones intimacy and rich, rhythmically complex arrangements powered by his band’s expressive rhythm section.
