These are the questions shaping careers across the industry right now - and they're the questions we're answering in this year's Creative Future's Industry Day. This event is for young people looking to build a career as artists, creatives, or behind the scenes. Hear directly from industry professionals shaping the sector today, learn more about the industry
This platform brings together Gloucestershire's creative community for connection, learning, and open discussion.
Panellists will be announced soon.
There's no longer one route into a music career, and there's no longer one definition of "making it." This panel looks at the full range of pathways artists are building today — signed, independent, portfolio, hybrid — and asks how artists (and the industry around them) should actually be measuring success.
AI is now part of the creative landscape — that isn't really in question any more. The real question for artists and the wider industry is how to respond to it well. This panel looks at AI across the full creative process, not just music-making, but content creation, artwork/visual design, and the everyday efficiencies that free artists up to focus on the creative work itself.
Most young artists learn the creative side early and the business side the hard way, and the business side isn't just "getting signed" anymore. This panel unpacks the many ways artists can actually monetise and negotiate the value of their work, and what a fair deal looks like across all of them.
A complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to welcoming you to The Music Works!
