REVOLT Gigs for Palestine presents: Baby Gem + Flavours + Spill

UPDATE 13/06/2024: DEATH TOLL IN GAZA STANDS AT 37,000+ SINCE OCTOBER 7TH 2023.

More than 37,084 Palestinians have been killed and 84,494 injured due to Israeli military airstrikes, with thousands still missing under rubble. Gaza, home to 2.2 million people before October 7th, has seen over 1% of its population killed and many displaced. Currently, 1.2 million people are in Rafah, and 350,000 - 450,000 are in the North of Gaza. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports over 500,000 cases of infectious diseases, with the actual number likely higher, including meningitis, jaundice, impetigo, chickenpox, and upper respiratory infections, as per WHO.

The Israeli military assault follows attacks by Palestinian armed groups on surrounding cities and towns, killing at least 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals, and injuring over 5,400, according to Israeli media. Since October 9th, Israeli authorities have imposed a total siege on Gaza, halting the entry of food, fuel, electricity, medical items, and water.

Of Gaza’s 36 main hospitals, only 17 remain somewhat functional with severe service limitations. Evacuation orders for 22 hospitals in northern Gaza on October 13th were described by WHO as “a death sentence” for patients. Over the past 8 months, the Israeli military has conducted more than 435 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza, killing at least 498 healthcare workers. Repeated direct attacks and the impacts of the siege have led MAP to conclude that Gaza’s healthcare system is being systematically dismantled.

Your support can make a difference in this critical situation.

Baby Gem - Cinematic, 70s-esk avant/prog/psych/folk/rock might just about cover it. Once described as ‘Future Mac’, the band’s sound holds dark otherworldly tones of introspection and contemplative realism alongside soft and melancholic beauty

Flavours - Psychedelic rock 4-piece from Brighton. Flavours have captivated audiences in the local circuit with their high-energy songs, backed with a relaxed stage presence. The brainchild of Sam Turner and George Weller (and completed by Ben Archibald and Joe Walker), the band was born from a shared love of psych rock in all of its forms and the classic, great artists of the '60s and '70s. Their songs feature gritty guitar riffs, punchy drums and groovy bass lines, tied together with trippy vocals. The band is fully independent, recording and producing everything themselves at home, and have their sights set on drawing crowds of psych-rock and alternative music lovers on stages and streaming everywhere.

Spill - The 5 piece band, formed and based in Brighton, have been growing their audience through their mesmerising live shows. Taking influence from Psychedelic, Alternative and Classic Rock with dynamically intense instrumentation and female vocals.
Showcasing their atmospheric sound on social media (@spill266 TikTok/Instagram) they have been growing their following in both Brighton and London, as well as exploring other cities.
