Emerging from Merced, California, 60juno leads the Central Valley’s post-punk scene with feelings of heavy nostalgia through deep, dreamy melodies.

Inspired by the 2016 surge of Southern California’s DIY indie-rock community in conjunction with the synchronous SoundCloud era of underground rap, 60juno came to life in the isolated bedroom of a lonely teen stuck in 2020 quarantine. Upon realizing that creating his own music wasn’t as far out of reach as he once thought, the independent musician became the driving force behind the bass, drums, guitar and vocals that can be heard on each of his tracks.

60juno takes the usual wistful, dreamy aspect of DIY indie-rock a step further into post-punk territory with heightened energy and rough, low vocals thrown on top. This merge has resulted in a blend of his own creation that sets him apart as he continues to establish a notable sound worth remembering.
