Headline - Minor Key Comedy
Forging their distinctive lo-if sound in their hometown of Chester over the last decade, gritty four-piece modern rock band 'Minor Key Comedy are brothers in all but blood.
Minor Key Comedy released their debut EP ‘The Meteor’ in 2021, which established their sound within the Modern Rock genre. The four-piece based in Chester, brought together the early sounds of The Black Keys and Kaleo by balancing their angsty rock tracks, with romantic melodies which frame the slower ballad, ‘Adeline’. Showing diversity and imagination, The Meteor captured the quintessence of Modern Rock music, a truly exciting beginning for the band.
Main Support - The Midnight Foxes
February 2020 - One Belarusian, two Welsh and two English musicians, all seeking to shatter the mundanity of their everyday lives, answered an online advert to create 'an unforgettable live performance' and The Midnight Foxes were born. They were able to squeeze one practice in before March 2020. It took 17 months of patience before they were allowed to meet for their second practice.
The Chester band are inspired by the music of their formative years from the early 2000's Indie Rock scene including The Strokes, We Are Scientists and The Mystery Jets. Their music is inspired by the darkest stories of humanity and human experiences which is progressively revealed through angular-harmonised melodies, wide synth-guitars, saturated leads and a tightly focused rhythm section. The band have been described as being "wonderfully adventurous" and "one of the more distinctive names on the rise right now"
Opening Act - The White Heat
When a nationwide lockdown hit in 2020, founding members of 'The White Heat' Ethan Briscoe and Brad Hoyle were forced to record their musical ideas from their bedrooms, rather than in a recording studio. Just over two years later, early in February of 2022, Briscoe and Hoyle came together with Cam Proctor and Elliot Collings to officially form The White Heat.
They brought with them their contrasting musical influences, such as Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines, Nirvana and Radiohead. The mix in influence between 00’s alternative, 80s rock, metal and blues is what gives The White Heat their recognisable sound. The White Heat gained a sizeable local following from performing live music in their home city of Preston. They released their debut single Postcode Police on 26th February 2022, just two weeks after their official formation.
