Thames Boat Mexican Independence Day

Viva Mexico! 15th September marks Mexico’s Independence Day, and in a true Mexican spirit, to celebrate it we are throwing the fiesta of the year! Join us for a boat party on the Thames with Latin DJs spinning the latest hits, a full stacked bar, Mexican food and… the night will end to the rhythm of the live mariachi band at 11pm.

On the day we will also have a raffle for a bottle of the finest mezcal and Mexican product basket, generously provided by our sponsor Mexgrocer.

¡Viva Mexico! El 15 de septiembre marca el Día de la Independencia de México, y con un verdadero espíritu mexicano, ¡para celebrarlo estamos lanzando la fiesta del año! Únase a nosotros para una fiesta en barco en el Támesis con DJs latinos tocando los últimos éxitos, un bar lleno, comida mexicana y… la noche terminará con el ritmo de la banda de mariachis en vivo a las 11 pm.

BOARDING PROCEDURES AND PIER CONFIRMATION:

We will board you 15 minutes before the function start time at 20:00 at Temple Pier. The boat will then cruise the Thames for the duration of your function and prepare for disembark at Temple Pier 15 minutes before the end of the function, or as the boat touches the pier if this is earlier, and this is when music is turned off and bars are closed. Your guests will then have 15 minutes to finish their drinks and the function will finish promptly.

Due to our licence, passengers are not permitted to consume any drinks on the pier before boarding, nor are any open bottles or drinks permitted to be taken off the vessel. The organiser should liaise with the Bar Manager towards the end of the function if they are concerned about account bar wastage.

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION:

We are aware that as people start to socialise more the risk of contracting covid or being identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for covid will increase dramatically. In order to keep ourselves, our friends and families, other passengers, staff and crew safe and to avoid having to self-isolate we strongly suggest you ask everyone coming on board to do a lateral flow test within 24 hours prior to coming on board and only attend if the test is negative and they do not have any of the COVID-19 symptoms. If the test is positive or they have symptoms then they should follow government advice on isolation and further testing. Please ensure that your guests are told not to come on board if they or anyone in their household has any symptoms.
