It wont be a stretch to say, quite possibly, that St Andrews is one of the (if not, THE) finest town in Europe. In terms of beauty, vintage architecture and an unbelievably picturesque landscape.

There is so much to see. Including the following:

--> St Andrews University: the oldest University in Scotland and considered one of the finest in the United Kingdom alongside Oxford and Cambridge. Some of the country's leaders were educated here including Prince William and his wife, Katherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, who famously met here.

--> St Andrews Cathedral: the ruins of the biggest church to have ever been built in Scotland sit as a stunning monument adding to the illustrious relic of this beautiful city.

--> St Andrews Golf Club: otherwise known as the home of golf. It is believed the game of golf was first played here in the 15th century and is used as the venue for the British Open, one of golf's four annual Majors. Tiger Woods has won it 3 times.

--> West Sands Beach: one of the 2 fine beaches gracing St Andrews, this is the better known one, made famous by the opening scene (and iconic music) of the Chariots of Fire film (1981).

These are just a few highlights. There is much more to see not least the town itself. A great trip not to be missed!
