No prizes for guessing that STAND UP IN THE BASEMENT is a stand up comedy night and guess what? It’s on a Tuesday night! Meaning you get to see top TV comics making you chuckle in the same room, and for a fraction of the normal price!

As well as familiar faces from TV, we feature some of the best circuit comics, plus new raw talent and occasionally a few big names who wanna come and try out some new material. It’s tailor-made for people who love live comedy! You’ll get to see a diverse range of comic talent in an intimate space.

⭐ SUNJAI ARIF (Tour support for Tom Green: European Comedy Road Trip, Bath Festival: Best - New Comedy Act 2017, Runner up - Guide Awards: Best Comedian 2018)

Sunjai quickly wins over audiences with his confidence and warm personality. He injects an irresistibly joyful energy into every topic he turns his hand to, with material on everything from raising his young children to his own upbringing in an Indian/Turkish mixed raced family, speeding tickets and extremist rodents. A solid comedy act, Sunjai oozes charm and will leave you grinning ear to ear.

Having just been tour support for Tom Green (Freddy Got Fingered, Road Trip), he is especially well known for his unforgettable alternative and absurdists routines. Recreating nostaglic pop culture through music, homemade props, and hilarious costumes.

⭐ MARKUS BIRDMAN (Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finals 2023, Netflix's Live in Amsterdam, Jason Manson Tour Support 2022)

Markus Birdman is one of British comedy’s most experienced and well-travelled performers. In demand all over the UK and abroad, Markus is a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe with 11 solo shows to his credit and headliner status at all the top clubs, including The Comedy Store, The Komedia, Hot Water, The Stand and Soho Theatre. He was a Nominee of Chortle's 'Best Club Comic' and he’s performed at the Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth Comedy Festivals and was nominated by the New Zealand Comedy Guild for Best International Guest. His international gig list includes Pakistan, Singapore, China, UAE, Austria, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Finland and India to name a few. 

He had his own Netflix Stand Up Special, ‘Live in Amsterdam’ & was also co-writer on Jayde Adams’s Amazon Prime Stand Up Special, ‘Serious Black Jumper’. He supported Jason Manson on tour in 2022, and most recently had the audience and Britain's Got Talent judges howling with laughter on BGT semi-finals 2023.
