A fundraiser for Brighton Women's Centre: an organization run for women by women, who support those with chronic conditions, those who have faced abuse, trauma, poverty, homelessness, or are in contact with the criminal justice system.
The Lineup;
Nierra Creek
Generating from the south of England, Nierra Creek are Somerset songwriter Ryan Deag and Swiss producer Sebastian Müller. The pair became friends during a last minute scrounge for housing in Brighton. Both share a love for James Blake, Hip Hop, soundscapes and unexpected noise which is the backbone to their sound. 2022 saw Nierra Creek perform at Boardmasters Festival (championed by Daniel Pascoe and Sarah "Gozzo" from BBCIntroducing) and Switzerland's Out In The Green Garden Festival. Along with several SOFAR sounds intimate shows. The band have also toured the UK with Communion's MarthaGunn and are ready to hit the road again in 2023. Taking sonic influence from indie folk artists Bon Iver to LOW, to production heavy artists Jim-E Stack and Oneohtrix Point Never, Nierra Creek are forging their own unique sound which transcends genre.
Our Girl (solo)
Our Girl is a modern alternative rock band hailing from Brighton, England, known for their introspective lyrics and dynamic soundscapes. Tonight we get to experience Soph Nathan playing tunes solo for a more intimate performance of old and new tracks.
Lucy Darke
With Honey smooth vocals, acoustic warmth and intimate storytelling, Lucy Darke has stirred quite a presence in the Brighton scene. Lucy will be doing a stripped back set for us highlighting the depths of her vocals and more personal performance.
Anknee & Friends
Annie Dorrett is a Toronto born singer-songwriter based in Brighton, UK. With country influences and a powerful voice their set consists of the innermost vulnerable and confrontational lyrics. Joined be a few friends for a lovey evening of their own material and covers.
