“Rachel McFarlane has a phenomenal gift.  Her voice is more than rich, soulful, power vocals; it has the ability to reach inside you to physically and mentally, alter your state of being.”  

Hailing from the music capital of the world, Manchester, England, Rachel’s voice has been powering dance floors globally for nearly three decades.

From her first recognised recording with Family Foundation on the ‘Express Yourself’ & ‘One Blood” EP, she has worked alongside several renowned dance production teams within Manchester.

She recorded ’10 X 10’ with 808 State and joined them on their subsequent World Tours.

It was her 1995 collaboration with Loveland, that to be pushed Rachel to the fore.  The combination of Rachel’s uplifting vocals and Loveland’s signature music production was to create 5 UK Top 40 hits and a No1 Dance chart single.  

‘I Need Somebody’, ‘Let The Music Lift You Up’, ‘Don't Make Me Wait’, ‘Keep On Shining’,  ‘Wonder Of Love’.

She went to perform with K Klass on their K2 album and also recorded a cover of the Oasis track ’Champagne Supernova’ with Urban Cookie Collective. Although never released, it remains an underground classic.

Rachel’s first solo single, The self penned “lover” 1998 catapulted her into the club anthemic stratosphere.. 

Rachel artistry has also enabled her to diversify into other areas of the entertainment industry.  As an actor, Rachel has been cast in principle roles in West End theatre productions.  Including, Blues For Mister Charlie, One, Black Goes With Everything. The multi-award winning RENT, and, more recently Rock of Ages. 

Unfortunately, due to health problems, Rachel was unable to sing or perform for over 2 years!! It was a personally devastating time for her. She did however managed to find a positive way out of this terrible situation, Taking the opportunity to working with disadvantaged young people from areas around greater Manchester & Cheshire, Passing on her musical skills. This proved to be a very inspiring time for Rachel.. 

In late 2003, Rachel was approached by LMC to record ‘Take Me To The Clouds Above’- the rest, they say, is history.  This track by LMC v U2 would peak at No 1, not only in the UK charts, but also around the world.

Rachel’s singing career resumed and she was catapulted back on to the scene. Her performance on this single earned her a Silver Disc and a Brit nomination for Best Single.

Rachel has an enviable record and body of work and as they say, there is still more to come:

She is currently completing her first solo project celebrating her gospel roots. She will also be releasing new dance track on Defected Records this summer. Whether it is gospel, theatre, or dance floor you are guaranteed an experience that will leave you Uplifted.

Now, With the Manchester pride literally in full swing on the weekend of our fabulous event we thought what could we do to feel part of this fabulous occasion… 

With that in mind we contacted our friend and your friend Mr Peter Dalton to ask if he would mind if we booked some ex Paradise Factory DJ’s and dedicated our ROOM 2 to music from this amazing night.. Peter was thrilled with the idea and even allowed us to use the Paradise Factory logo just add the cherry on the cake.. We can’t thank Peter enough and if you wan’t a musical trip down memory lane from the days at the Paradise factory then our ROOM 2 is the place to be after your pride celebrations..
