Disco Panther: For Shag — A Celebration of the Life of Matthew “Shaggy” Jones

Matthew “Shaggy” Jones — known to many simply as Shag — was a staple of Sin City’s early days. A familiar face on both sides of the DJ booth, he was part of the venue as a customer, DJ and promoter, and is remembered by many across Swansea’s nightlife community.

Following his passing, Shag’s friends are coming together to celebrate his life and raise funds to help bring his body home so that he can be laid to rest.

On Saturday 1st August, Disco Panther, DJ Niel Savvy and guests will take over Sin City for an evening of music, memories and fundraising.

Sin City is donating the venue and staff for the event to help maximise the amount raised, with all proceeds going towards the cost of bringing Shag home.

Whether you knew Shag personally, danced to one of his sets, attended one of his events, or simply want to support those trying to bring him home, you’re invited to join us.
