About the venue: A three-floor restaurant and cocktail bar rated 4.1 from more than 1,650 reviews. Note it is closed on Mondays, opening 10:30am to midnight Tuesday to Sunday. Reviewers describe multiple distinct seating areas and private rooms across the floors — useful for a group — but also flag that upper floors are sometimes closed for private events, so confirm the space when booking.

Getting there: Excellent transit: Merchandise Mart on the Brown and Purple lines is a three-minute walk and Grand on the Red Line is four, so the venue is reachable from almost anywhere on the L. It sits in River North, walking distance from the Loop. Driving is the weaker option — River North garage rates are among the highest in the city and street parking is scarce.
