A night of Brazilian Music

Our second gig will be showing off some of the best Brazilian music from the Brighton and Hove area.

Tudo Bem! is a Brazilian band which combines a wealth of experience to bring a new mix of the nation’s best music. From Forró to Samba Funk dance to the nations most up to date Brazilian sounds. Tudo Bem! is more than a greeting; Tudo Bem! is the Brazilian affirmation of life and of the triumph over adversity!

You can expect to hear music that is so often heard, as well as other styles of music that are less well known outside of Brazil such as Funk, Samba-Reggae, Samba-Rock, Forró and Baião. So, come prepared to be surprised, to be entertained, but above all come prepared to PARTY!

Marina Decourt is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer with over ten years of experience. Alongside her solo work, she has produced and performed with a range of artists across the Brazilian music scene.

She has also composed original music for film, television and advertising, and is the founder of Marilene Beats, a label dedicated to supporting women and the queer community in music.

In this live set, Marina Decourt revisits classics of Brazilian popular music, alongside original material. Moving through a diverse repertoire, the show takes the audience on a journey from the 1970s to the present day, blending rich grooves and smooth, soulful textures.

Ombu is a latin fusion band based in Brighton combining elements of samba, afoxe, funk, rumba and more.

We welcome Ombu back to the stage after their incredible performance at the GainStage debut show at the pipeline. They will open the night of Brazilian music followed by Marina Decourt and Tudo Bem!
