In 2018 David Eagle exploded onto the comedy scene winning no less than 4 new act of the year titles in his first 12 months, including the prestigious Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year.

From there he has gone on to perform across TV and radio, appearing on the likes of The Now Show and performing and supporting Vic Reeves, Reginald D Hunter, Boothby Graffoe and many more.

Simon Lomas

Simon Lomas is regarded as one of the most exciting and refreshing new acts on the circuit. Already making big waves, this ungainly and socially awkward geek will doubtless go on to big things as his distinctive style is matched by superb jokes with a highly unique delivery.

He’s already a multi-award winning act and is being widely talked about across the comedy industry – catch him now while you can!

In 2016 he won both the Southport New Comedian of the Year and the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year, followed in 2017 by winning Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year and the Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and then the Petfringe Comedian of the Year in 2018.

Jules O’Brien

This months ‘one to watch’ is the brilliant Jules O’Brien. Jules O’Brian was shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, and performs at venues and festivals around the country, telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating. She is TalkTalk’s official voice – chosen by none other than the legend Bernard Cribbins – and her silly writings feature frequently in magazines including Prima and MamaLife. This former teacher’s relaxed and chatty style, crowd interaction and warmth, all served with a sardonic wit, make her a natural crowd pleaser.
