Meet at Wimbledon College of Arts, Reception Desk
Join us for a walk of discovery – to reveal overlooked wildlife in the nooks and crannies of our streets. You will learn how to identify some of these plants through observation -- and their names, which are often descriptive, like mouse ear and bristly ox tongue. You will scrutinise and record these wild flowers through drawing. The walk will be led by gardener/print-maker, Kate Poland, who founded and runs Cordwainers Community Garden, Hackney, and champions those plants that some people call weeds.
