Calling all Video Game Players!
The UK's biggest and best touring retro video game arcade is coming to
High Wycombe's Eden Shopping Centre this summer.
If you’ve ever played Pac Man, smashed Street Fighter or defeated
Donkey Kong, then High Wycombe’s Eden Shopping Centre is the place
to be!
From Friday 23rd August to Sunday 8th September Eden plays host to 'The History Of Video Games’, who will be installing up to 50 coin op classics at the centre including
Double Dragon, Mario Brothers, Space Invaders, Out Run and Asteroids

This awesome arcade event is perfect for families, friends and gamers of
all ages who want to relive the golden age of gaming. The ticketed
event boasts an impressive collection of retro and vintage arcade machine classics, consoles, handhelds and special video game guest stars.
This special Eden edition sees for the first time, the arrival of 90s
Video Game stars Earth Worm Jim and Crash Bandicoot alongside Mario
and Sonic and many more, and did someone say Guitar Hero!
Come with old friends, meet some new friends or even introduce your kids
to the most playable games on the planet. Will they outperform you on
Pac-Man or slam you at Space Invaders?
Running for 2 weeks, this is our biggest event yet! It’s for all fans of
video games, and covers over 30 years of gaming history using the
original machines from back in the day, no coins required, pay to get
in and then all the games are free.
So how does it work?
Simply choose a date, choose a time and purchase the ticket you require,
Tickets are £10 per adult, £7 per child* or take advantage of our
family ticket** for £29. You’re then player ready for 3 hours of
arcade antics! Everything is free once inside, no coins required.
Children or Adults with a carer, the carer goes for free. Please purchase one
ticket and mention to staff on the door.
Please note tickets are not refundable but can be transferred, just message us via facebook here to change dates (subject to availability)
Please note, to maximise your enjoyment, each session is limited to around
50 people so everyone gets to play on all the games – please book
your session in advance (we expect weekends to sell out)
To make your time at Eden even more pleasurable, everyone’s favourite
‘home from home’ restaurant, Bill’s, will be offering a complimentary round of drinks to ticketholders who purchase a main course at Bill’s, Eden, Just show the staff your History of Video

Opening times are as follows Friday 23rd August to Sunday 8th September
– Open daily at the following times.
Monday to Wednesday 12pm-6pm: 2 sessions per day 12pm – 3pm and 3pm to 6pm
Thursday to Sunday 12pm – 9pm: 3 sessions per day 12pm -3pm, 3pm – 6pm, 6pm – 9pm
*Under 16's are classed as a child
**Family tickets are for 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult 3 children or 4 adults

Alongside the History of the Video Game original arcade games there is a
curated selection of vintage consoles and games for 8bit, 16bit and
32bit nostalgia, including the NES, Master System, Super Nintendo,
Megadrive, Playstation, N64, Game Cube,Sega Saturn, Playstation
1+2+3+4 and many more, including handhelds.
Let us know on the History of the Video Game’s Facebook page what
games for these consoles you would like to play and why and we will
select some from this list for the event.
