Visit where King Arthur was killed and his body cast off to Avalon, look across to Y Lliwedd, where the knights of the round table are said to be waiting in a cave for when their country needs them.
Snowdon is said to be the burial cairn of Rhita Gawr, a giant who's cloak was made of mens beards and eventually slain by King Arthur himself.
At 500 million years old, see some of the oldest rocks in the world and how they have been carved away by erosion and ice ages and learn about their violent volcanic past. See fossils of shell fish right on the summit.
Our guides will share their knowledge of this very, very special place.
We will ascend the Rhyd Du path, one of the easier ways up but giving you the opportunity to see many different sides of the mountain. We will then descend the South Ridge visiting old mine works and then back to Rhyd Du for a pint and a debrief in the Cwellyn Arms.
