VOLA - Applause Of A Distant Crowd Tour 2019
+ Arch Echo
+ Rendezvous Point
VOLA:
Formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2006, VOLA explore a mix of 70's style progressive rock, electronica, industrial and metal, topped off with clear, beautiful vocal lines.
At times futuristic, the music of VOLA has references to tech-prog and pop as well, their influences range from Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Devin Townsend, Soilwork, Meshuggah and Ulver to Massive Attack.
In the summer of 2018 they announced the release of their second album ‘Applause Of A Distant Crowd’, which will be released on 12th October on Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group. The record was once again produced by Mygind and was recorded in Copenhagen at Heyman Studios and then Asger’s own home studio whilst the mastering was done by Andy VanDette (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Devin Townsend, David Bowie).
On the new album, they probe society’s distractions from thoughtfulness and examine the way human relationships have evolved whilst touching upon fear and anxiety. Where their debut ‘Inmazes’ dealt with the struggle that came with being trapped in mental mazes, the themes are now focused on the outside world rather than internal conflict.
SUPPORT
Arch Echo
Arch Echo is about the music. Cliché? Yeah. Idealistic? Absolutely. They are ultimately music nerds as all of this band's members work in the music industry professionally. Every day, hour and minute sees them writing, practicing, producing, performing, composing, teaching and practicing. Arch Echo is their new baby, a mutual creative product that has the hopes to play live as soon as possible.
This project brings to the table keyboardist, producer and composer Joey Izzo, known for his wall of sound style and melodic production ear. He composes with Joe Calderone at Tangent and runs his own Joey Izzo Productions.

Rendezvous Point
The progressive metal band Rendezvous Point is one of the most exciting and promising bands from the Southern part of Norway. These talented musicians grab your brain and use it as a bouncing ball through rhythms beyond logic. Though the music is often heavy and advanced, there is always a layer of fantastic melodies performed by one of the most amazing voices in Norway, Geirmund Hansen. The epic arrangements of Rendezvous Point are truly one of a kind, and should really be experienced live.
