Rond Est Le Point. Where dancers and musicians rendezvous.
Nouteka Collective, the curators of Blended Groove Sessions, bring to you, Rond Point.
Rond Point is a place where dancers and musicians can come together to create, develop their skills and most importantly have fun!
This event will include cyphers, workshops and challenges led by our professional dancers and end with a dance battle (with a limited edition Nouteka T-Shirt up for grabs).
We welcome dancers of all styles, backgrounds and abilities, and you do not need to prepare anything so come as you are.
Come dressed to impress, but above all be comfortable.
We will have DJ sets and live beatmakers, and musicians are more than welcome to come on stage and play any instrument of their choosing.
The hosts will be Marie- Astrid Mence and Jordan John-Hope.
Marie is a former student of the Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris and Alvin Ailey School. Marie joined Ballet Black in 2014 and Phoenix Dance Company in 2015 and she is currently Senior Artist for Ballet Black.
John Hope (HopeSigh) held the title of Juste Debout UK winner from 2013-2016. John Hope has also featured in Anthea Hamilton’s Magazine sessions, in collaboration with Fiorucci Art Trust.
The DJ for Rond Point will be Jeremy Otari. Resident on Rinse France since the early days in 2014, Jeremy Otari has a history of being one of the most active representatives of jungle & bass music in Paris. Nowadays he plays all sorts of good beats ranging from Hip Hop, RnB, Funk and House.
Join us on Sunday 6th February from 4-8pm at Well Seasoned in Peckham Levels for the first-ever Rond Point.
A negative later flow test is required for entry.
