Waiting to Begin: or we make really bad art and are terrible people
"Waiting to Begin" is a meta-theatrical exploration, delving into the essence of storytelling, human nature, the power of repetition and decolonization. Through a diverse tapestry of scenes featuring a Chorus, clowns, and Las Brujas, the play intertwines mythology, introspection, and social commentary to provoke reflection on colonization, manipulation, love, mourning, and gun violence. With repetition as a central motif, it exposes the manipulation and empowerment inherent in narratives while engaging the audience in an immersive experience that challenges perceptions and sparks discussions on the profound impact of storytelling.
