REVOLT Presents: The Butterfly Wheel + Quaking Aspens + Molly Rose

REVOLT transforms Brighton venues into spaces of solidarity, amplifying emerging artists to raise crucial funds for medical and healthcare relief in Palestine.

What's happening in Gaza is not just a crisis, it is the destruction of an entire society.

For more than two years, Israel's military campaign has created a catastrophic humanitarian emergency. Since October 2023, at least 72,740 people have been killed, and more than 172,192 have been injured, the vast majority civilians, including tens of thousands of women and children. Many more deaths continue to be recorded as bodies are recovered and violence persists.

Famine-level conditions are spreading, with large numbers of children suffering from acute malnutrition and urgently needing food, clean water, and medical care. Access to essential supplies is being severely restricted. Gaza's health system has been systematically devastated: at least 94% of hospitals and healthcare facilities have been damaged or destroyed, and 735 attacks on healthcare have been documented since October 2023.

Despite global protests demanding a ceasefire, Western governments, including the UK, continue to provide weapons and political support to Israel, enabling this devastation to continue.

Humanitarian aid remains blocked or constrained, but donations to trusted medical and relief organisations are a vital lifeline. In Gaza, where people are being denied their basic rights and means to survive, every act of solidarity matters.

Molly Rose

Molly Rose is a Brighton-based singer-songwriter blending indie-folk intimacy with the spacious textures of alt-country. Fronting a live band featuring pedal steel and drums, her sound moves between hushed storytelling and wide-open, cinematic arrangements. Her latest release, Another Highway, captures the restless pull of movement, memory, and emotional distance.

Quaking Aspens

Quaking Aspens are an ethereal grunge-gaze outfit carving their name into Brighton’s vibrant music scene. Since relocating to the city in 2022, they’ve swiftly established themselves in the local music scene and beyond, appearing on the BBC Introducing Live Lounge as well as lighting up stages from festivals like Homegrown and The Alternative Escape, to more intimate settings for Sofar Sounds and the Bella Union Vinyl Shop Sandwich Sessions.

Their sound is a lush collision of electric guitars and intricately layered vocals, weaving together influences from alt-rock, shoegaze, grunge, and folk. Underpinned by driving rhythms, their music has been described as both visceral and evocative.

The Butterfly Wheel

The Butterfly Wheel is a UK-based alternative psychedelic rock band known for their immersive, theatrical, and spiritually charged performances. Drawing inspiration from 60s garage psych, punk new wave, and the ethereal artistry of bands like Bryan Jones Town Massacre, Fleetwood Mac, the band crafts a sound that is both raw and otherworldly. Fronted by the hauntingly distinctive voice of Alice Ancient, The Butterfly Wheel weaves together the soulfully seductive synths and textures of Myrrh Moon with Ryan's dreamy, pining guitar riffs. Their music delves deep into themes of mysticism, myth, and transformation, creating a sonic experience that feels both timeless and transcendent. Whether on stage or in the studio, The Butterfly Wheel invites listeners into a lush, emotive soundscape, at once delicate and fierce, grounded and cosmic.
