“The Jersey-born singer-songwriter bears petals that lilt with a drowsy, introspective longing” Hard of Hearing

“filled with passion… and a quest for genuine connections.” Still Listening

“transcends its DIY roots weaving a majestic sonic tapestry” Daily Music Report

“powerful and introspective” Acute Pop

A native of Jersey, which has helped to influence his introspective style of writing. Maximilian’s love of music bloomed in his teenage years after digging through bargain bins in local record shops which inspired him to start playing in bands on the small island. The island soon felt too small for him however and he moved to Brighton where he has lived ever since, frequently collaborating with some of the scene's most familiar faces including Martha Eve and Hutch as well as supporting acts passing through like Junior Brother, Naima Bock, Route 500 and Porchlight.

Writing and performing since 2018, the live shows have gone through various arrangements, and is still changing each show to date. Solo sets which cast silence upon audiences, fully fledged arrangements with classical instruments, and gritty three piece sets more in line with the likes of Nirvana. The songs combine influences from 90’s alternative music for fans of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Elliott Smith, with the more raw and classic vibe of Neil Young and Big Thief.

Maximilian has been playing regular shows across Brighton and London, filling well known and loved rooms such as The Green Door Store, The Windmill, SeaBright Arms, The Ivy House, The Hope and Ruin and many more. With his debut album set for release in march, and a promising reception from the first three singles so far, Maximilian will be ne to watch in 2024.
