Nigerian Chart-topping music star Ycee announces Dublin headline show at the Academy Green Room.

Born Oludemilade Martin Alejo on January 29th 1993 at Festac town Lagos to a Yoruba Muslim teacher and an Igbo catholic Mother. Ycee had his basic primary education at Dr. Soyemi nursery and primary school Festac town, before he proceeded to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Ojo, Lagos. Ycee then studied marine biology at The University of Lagos before deferring to focus solely on his music career.

Currently signed to his own entertainment outfit “ The ANBT Company”
After parting ways with his former record label Tinny Entertainment under whom he started off his career in December 2009.

2015 was the breakout year for Ycee with the release of his smash hit Singles “Jagaban” and “Jagaban remix” which featured industry heavyweight Olamide. Ycee picked up the Headies Rookie of the Year award in 2015. ‘Omo Alahji’ followed in early 2016, a single which further consolidated his position in the music industry. His debut Body of work “The First Wave EP’ came in 2017 and was release under licensing of Sony Music Africa, this project Birthed Ycee’s Biggest song yet “Juice” which featured Maleek Berry.

This hot trail of chart-topping singles earned him various award nominations at the Souncity MVP Awards, Nigeria Entertainment Awards, MTV Base Mamas and the All Africa Music Awards. Ycee picked up the award for Best Artist in African Hip-Hop at The AFRIMA 2017 Edition.

Beside enjoying the success on the music front, Ycee has also pushed his brand to the corporate world and the business side of entertainment, working with multinational companies like Hennessy, Samsson Group, Budweiser and other notable Nigerian brands.
