Stand Up Comedy in Reading is back. Mates Rates Comedy is proud to present Comedy at Turtle with Headliner Junior Booker.

Mates Rates Comedy has teamed up with The Purple Turtle to bring you the best acts from the UK comedy scene.

We will have TV names, up and coming circuit comics and as always you will be guided along by our trusty MC Carl Richard.

The show takes place at The Purple Turtle on Friday 15 March between 7:30pm-9:30pm (doors open 7:00pm).

Junior Booker

Junior Booker is a young and charismatic comedian from South London. He has been ripping up shows all over the country for the past three years and is a regular performer at Top Secret Comedy, Backyard Comedy as well as hosting his own successful comedy nights around London.

Andy Gleeks

Andy Gleeks has a club set high on “really strong gags that always go down well with everyone” (Catford Comedy Club), gags which focus on his past and present lives in Northern Ireland and England. His conversational and anecdotal style is warm, engaging and naturally funny in its self deprecation. Andy enjoys flitting seamlessly between topical and observational comedy and has a real facility for language. Andy works on a variety of bills and is an act who all audiences respond to due to his relaxed style, confident delivery, his quick wit, his ‘great turn of phrase’ and ‘good comedy mind’ (Glee Club).
