About the venue: An American restaurant and bar rated 4.3 from around 830 reviews, mid-priced, and listed as a live music and event venue. It closes at 11pm Tuesday and Wednesday but runs to 1:30am on Thursday, so a Thursday event has considerably more room. Reviewers frequently mention live piano, which sets a sociable but not overpowering tone.

Getting there: The venue is on Water Street NW in Georgetown, on the waterfront below M Street. Georgetown famously has no Metro station — the nearest are Foggy Bottom-GWU and Rosslyn, both around a fifteen to twenty-minute walk — so plan for the DC Circulator, a rideshare, or the walk down from M Street. Georgetown parking is limited and expensive.
