BETOKO

Beto Cohen was born in Mexico, 1976, the son of actress and singer Malu Galan, he was destined to be involved in a creative environment.

He started to play guitar and Drums in bands from the age of 12 and by the time he was 20 he had set up his own studio, production company and a modelling agency in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2002 moves to London in pursuit of greater challenges as he discovers his passion for electronic sounds. A slave to his passions has led to Betoko possessing an ingenious musical mind that has commanded him to be at the centre of the international music fist.

Along with a place on the list amongst other esteemed DJ’s on Mar-t’s (Amnesia Ibiza) label, Wow! Records, his solid productions demonstrate his distinctive style & approach. Described as Tech, minimal, House, the lengthy production catalog Betoko holds up against his name has seen the releases championed & play listed by DJ’s M.A.N.D.Y, Gregor Tresher, Martinez, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Sven Vath and Marco Carola, to name a few and his tracks have been featured on TV Series like CSI, several Advertising Campaigns and Madonna’s Sticky N Sweet Tour and CD / DVD.

Betoko’s embellishment of his music personality gets deeper; now head honcho of his own label, OKO Recordings, he is part of the pioneering evolution of electronic magic adding high quality releases to the worlds track list, supported by some of the globes most highly regarded DJ’s.

WILDKATS

Wildkats is the Sandeman & Dickie duo from production collective Wildkats. As things shook up amongst the Kats, S&D are continuing to move forward as a dynamic double act.

Their forward thinking productions, remixes, edits and exciting DJ sets clearly marked their territory on the house scene. Influenced by multi-genres old and new, they combine their music brains in the studio. In goes over 10 years DJ experience, all things from house, funk, techno, 80s, 90s, hiphop, disco, a few beers, a touch of magic and outcomes some music gems. Having already released on house giants Hot Creations, Hot Waves, Off Recordings and remixes on labels such as Get Physical, OM Records and Made To Play, Wildkats SD look to be carrying on the trend with some exciting productions to come in 2014, both individually and together.

On their own turf, Wildkats SD add another string to their bow as residents and co-promoters of You Are We, one of London’s best underground parties. They have taken this party from East London to Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Burning Man and have recently hosted room 3 at Fabric with another date at the club already in the pipeline. With YAW Music label to launch in the New Year there is only good things to follow.

When the guys are not busy in the studio or holding events, it is all about doing what they love best, DJ’ing. From global dancefloors to the famous Robot Heart Bus at Burning Man, these guys know how to rock a party and engage the crowd. They’ve already clocked up some serious party miles round the world having toured US, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa and some of the best underground clubs in Europe.

MAT.JOE

Mat.Joe. Matze and Johannes, two young men with a Hip Hop and House affection conquering Berlin.

Their productions come to life in a Neukölln backyard where studio equipment and DJ decks meet desiccated plants. A natural development when music has become the top priority from dusk till dawn.

Back in 2006, Rap, Breakdance and Skateboarding were the passions that made them best buddies and this deep connection is reflected in their music, again and again. In 2008, they formed the producer team Twomanics and concentrated on authentic and credible hip hop productions for independent artists.

Originally from Hannover, they moved to Berlin for new artistic challenges and after MySpace, mixtapes and MDMA, Mat.Joe have found their own style: crispy Housebeats paired with rhythmic Soul and Hip Hop elements.

The result is deep and dancefloor-qualified, warm and rough. Inspiration is found everywhere between subway rides, late night showers and favorite bars. New ideas are kept manically on every smartphone nearby.

This is sound autism at the highest stage. Mat.Joe's love for music and the ambition to improve are the main ingredients that keep the engine running.

MATT FEAR

Currently a bastion for the UK’s electronic music scene, Leeds has had a notable production line of artists who have gone on to do great things in the scene, particularly within House and Techno. Matt Fear continues in this fine tradition, purveying a bass-heavy interpretation of the slower Nu-disco/House sound that has found popularity within European dance-floors of late. In terms of his sound, Matt Fear is a loyal slave to bass. Clattering stabs of low-end punctuate all of his productions, a distinctly British feature in an otherwise continental sound. Over time, his tunes have increased in tempo, and his grasp of melody has elaborated as he has matured as a producer.

His breakthrough tune came in the form of a remix, as he took Lee M Kelsall’s “On The Road” and decorated it with sultry strings and effortless pads. An extended intro mix culminates in a euphoric, jacking breakdown that evokes images of the sun. This was released on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ Hot Wave imprint, and set Matt’s stall out as a rising star in the ever-more-popular UK House scene.

Matt has seen himself working with a number of the genre’s most respected labels. Highlights have included the undulating tech-house offerings of “Sniper” on New York’s Nurvous Recordings, and the imperious “Groove With It” on Max Chapman’s Resonance Records, which sees Matt at his most gritty and dance-floor focused. Having already playing in many countries, including Russia, Brazil, Norway, Italy, France, Spain, India, Ecuador and more, Matt has also toured South America and South Africa, as well as an extensive touring schedule across the UK, with many appearances across London, including XOYO, Ministry Of Sound and Electric Brixton. His recent performance at Snowbombing only served to underline his growing popularity, down to nothing more than hard work and graft, with a huge love of what he does.

SAMUEL DAN

Samuel Dan was always likely to end up making and playing music around the world: his father was a DJ and programmer, and so Samuel’s respect for, and admiration of, the music world has been fomented over many years. Now, having experimented in a rock band with friends, he has come full circle and is back twiddling knobs and faders across Europe.

2005 saw the young Spaniard get his first gigs, with plenty more coming flooding in during a year spent in Germany as a student. In Germany, Samuel cut his teeth, learning and improving his trade in and around some key clubs. Couple this with his studies in computer science at the Universidad Politécnica of Valencia and the man’s production skills have now got him some serious recognition.

Now, knowing label bosses all over the world have lapped up the man’s colourful house style: He has released on internationally acclaimed imprints like Claude von Stroke’s Dirtybird – who snapped up Samuel’s ‘Bitch’ track for their recent Hatched compilation - Spanish label Suara and tech house stables like TrapezLTD, Material and Gruuv.

In his own DJ sets you will hear plenty of different house and tech styles, and for that reason he has been booked to play Aquarium in London, Decadance in Belgium, Kindergarten in Italy and a number of other festivals, but so too is Samuel a key resident at leading Spanish club Barraca. Despite all this, you still feel the man is just getting started…

PEDRO VALVERDE

Pedro Valverde began his career in 2008 as a DJ , it can be concluded that the rise of electronic music market contributed much to leave serious " thing " .

Was among dozens of competitors in search of prize for best technical and mixing in the interior of São Paulo . The contest , conducted by AIMEC in partnership with the club Heaven & Hell , evaluated and decided it would be your first place . Among the awards a course in electronic music production done and achieved the same year (2011 ) .

Opportunities since then have become more frequent and relevant for the artist who has played alongside names like No Regular Play, Walker & Royce and none other than Beckers .

Pedro Valverde has produced the event Tecnology bringing firsthand live artist Amirali for the region , has performed in major booths as the club D - Edge , Anzu , The Week, Club88 and Viernnes Club as well as at parties and festivals open -air . In 2014 in partnership with a great talent for idealized tracks Nin92wo label launched in VA where names like Alex Justino , Lucas Arr , Droppbox and Gustavo Conde are also present .

Currently Pedro Valverde continues his journey in Djing and plans to launch some own productions soon. Is also a partner / creator of the radio show SF SESSIONS Temple of Music Radio San Francisco ( USA , CA ) alongside Lucas Rocha and now to the most recent hired by promising Knoxville Agency ( São Paulo , Brazil ) .
