Guy Lloyd's Radio Blah Blah is a live show with a twist! Incorporating a broadcast studio and a live performance space, Guy is turning radio up to '11', with an exciting and immersive event for the good people of Brighton (Hove too!).

Remember The Tube? TFI Friday? This is the radio equivalent. Live performances from bands, solo artists, comedians, poets, you name it, anything could happen on this show. Alongside the live performances, there'll be interviews with big names from across the city and beyond, all in front of a live audience. That live audience being you. And your friends. And family. And possibly, domestic animals (although we’d take non-domestic).

This month we welcome BABYTEETH, Minor Dents, and Calming River.

BABYTEETH is the next spreading wildfire in Brighton, England - delivering us their very own blend of Rock and Punk. Their live shows are playful, theatrical, hot and visually intimate. With lyrics taken from their own original poetry, bass lines and guitar textures that scrape a chill on your bones and captivating movement behind the drums, BABYTEETH command your attention for every second they own a stage.

Minor Dents from Brighton are a propulsive kosmische trio with Holly Finch on vocals and bass, Ryan Bollard on drums and Al Strachan on keys, cornet and electronics. They have drawn comparisons to Broadcast, Stereolab and Nico, and a recent live show inspired music writer Everett True to describe them as, “Mesmerising… Hypnotic goodness. Goodly hypnosis…. Goody goody gumdrops.” Their debut EP ‘Sitting with the Fish’ is out now on Rose Hill Records. “Imagine the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band if they had come out of 70’s Düsseldorf instead of 60s Los Angeles! " - Melting Vinyl / Lewes Psychedelic Festival

Alt-folk songwriter Calming River, has always swam against the mainstream in delivering a dark and sombre aesthetic, predominately through the use of fingerstyle guitar, alternative tunings and haunting atmospherics. Debut album 'Dead Bluebottles Supine’, praised for its "wonderful intricate guitar playing which is utterly entrancing throughout” (Fatea) was followed with dark 2025 instrumental album ‘Macdui’. The latter saw national airplay, including BBC 6 Music, and was nominated for best folk-adjacent album of the year (Arctic Drones). "Calming River is a singer-songwriter whose material replicates the dark underbelly of alternative folk and the vibrance of ambient musical expression... beautiful melancholy is executed through poetic lyrics, delicately technical guitar playing, and the vast exploration of dynamics" - Melting Vinyl (Brighton, UK).

This is a night not to be missed. Previous shows have sold out very quickly, so book your ticket now and come and join us for a night of joy, merriment and great hair.
