We are absolutely thrilled to have Edgar Jones play Billy's!

Edgar Jones (Edgar Summertyme or Edgar ‘Joneses’ Jones), Mercury Music Prize nominee and cult hero, has achieved legendary status as a Liverpool-based singer-songwriter and musician with a distinctive style of Garage Punk, Rock, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues and 60s Inspired Pop.

Originally the bass player and frontman of The Stairs, he also formed and fronted The Isrites, The Big Kids (which included future members of The Zutons and The Stands), Edgar Jones & The Joneses and Free Peace.

Edgar has worked with James Skelly of The Coral, Mike Badger and Paul Hemmings from The La’s and played bass for other prominent artists, including Ian McCulloch (Echo & The Bunnymen), Johnny Marr, Paul Weller, Saint Etienne, Cherry Ghost, The Las and Love, and has toured with Grammy Award winning Robert Cray and Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

He has a cult following including high profile fans, such as Liam Gallagher, Craig Charles, Martin Freeman and Daniel Radcliffe.
