Concorde Street at Cabot Circus has been transformed with the arrival of a stunning display of suspended balloons.
Celebrating Bristol’s balloon heritage, the display is inspired by decorations on London’s Carnaby Street. The new installation incorporates 16 hanging hot air balloons suspended from steel wire rope and 6 wall-mounted balloons to create a riot of colour along Concorde Street.
The balloons feature an impressive 92,928 LEDS allowing them to illuminate at night, and creates the perfect ‘Instagrammable’ backdrop for shoppers.
Stephanie Lacey, Cabot Circus General Manager, comments: "We’re constantly looking at ways to refresh the centre and make it a space that people enjoy visiting week after week. Balloons are such an iconic part of Bristol life and we wanted to honour and incorporate that into the centre some way, so we’re delighted to reveal the new art installation for the city to enjoy.”
Cabot Circus invites visitors to celebrate the new installation on Saturday 2nd June where a giant dome filled with balloons will be in situ, with many prizes to be won including:
· Tickets to top Bristol tourist destinations such as Bristol Zoo, Wild Place and We The Curious
· A Pandora bracelet worth £99
· A meal at The Real Greek
