On May 1st, we're stoked to be hosting Gypsy Unit's exclusive Bristol Mild Mild West debut album launch for our 8th instalment of SWING N TINGZ, just before festival season kicks off!!

We'll be turning the Lanes into a mash-up of steam-punk wild west and our usual colourful festival vibe! We want to see as many of you come as cowboys, bandits, indians, steam-punk merchants, sheriffs or whatever you imagination conjures up!

Full of character and bouncy basslines, Gypsy Unit take the bare bones of Hip Hop and mash it up with gypsy, balkan and anything else they can get their mitts on!! Combining a rowdy, cheeky party vibe with a quirky string section and hooky choruses, their trademark sound makes them one of the freshest acts to hit the UK scene.

The guys have been in heavy demand ever since they first started gigging in 2013 and continue to leave a trail of destruction everywhere they play, from big stages at festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown and Shambala to sold out club gigs far and wide.

Their up and coming debut album Mild Mild West releases on the 1st of May and we'll be hosting their Bristol album launch. Expect all kinds of Wild West decor, dressed up performers and show downs to accompany the show!

The Dead Players are many things. So many things that it is hard to know where to start. Like a malnourished gerbil banging on the door of ten Downing Street demanding better animal rights for all kickable creatures great and small...or something like that!!

Supporting Gypsy Unit are High Focus and UK Hip-Hop super group: DEAD PLAYERSl!! Featuring none other than JAM BAXTER, DABBLA and GHOSTTOWN - combining forces to bring some tongue-in-cheek quirkyness to proceedings, mashing up genres like a soggy potato.

✮RAZZOMO✮ https://www.facebook.com/razzomo The fusion of MR TEA AND THE MINIONS incredible violinist and the guitarist of both the Minions and SHAMBOLIQUE, RAZZOMO is an upbeat, fun, exciting gypsy-swing duo. After they played in the Swing'n'Tingz room at Lakota at the beginning of the month we had to get them back for another set!

✮Offbeat Music✮ https://www.facebook.com/iamoffbeat A genius blend of swing and hip-hop. Offbeat will both be hosting the whole night for us but performing a little segment of his own material.
