The SECOND Wilfred Owen Lecture will be presented by renowned poet, writer, playwright and broadcaster, OWEN SHEERS.
Following on from the sell-out inaugural event with Martin Bell, THE WILFRED OWEN LECTURE is back for a second time looking to hit a national audience with its poignant and powerful theme of 'Conflict and Communication in the 21st Century', written and presented by acclaimed poet, writer, playwright and broadcaster, Owen Sheers.
Festival Founder, John Waine, is fully expecting the lecture to be one of the highlights, "Owen Sheers' work has been compared to Wilfred's for its power to communicate stories around conflict and resolution such as his recent book, Pink Mist. This is going to be a fascinating evening for anyone interested in Wilfred Owen's legacy, and the impact of poetry and story-telling on modern life."
