Week 2 of our RYND Comedy Showcase every Thursday, in our brand new room upstairs! This week we are joined by TV's very own Joel Dommett and Irish sensation Rory O'Hanlan.
Joel Dommett: In 2008, he won Best Newcomer award and was a finalist in Stand Up Comedian of the year. Joel has also since appeared on Russel Howards good news. In 2010, Dommett appeared in a recurring role in E4's Skins as D.C. Sweeney and appeared in all six episodes of Popatron,[1] a sitcom produced by Charlie Brooker's Zeppotron that appeared on BBC2 as part of its BBC Switch brand. Beginning in 2011, Joel hosted Live in Chelsea, a live discussion show revolving around the events of the popular reality show Made in Chelsea. Alongside this, Dommett appears as one of the comedians in Impractical Jokers UK. A second series began airing in 2014.
Rory O'Hanlan Rory O'Hanlon is a Dublin based stand up comedian who's observational style of comedy has made him an instant hit with crowds up and down the UK and Ireland. Rory plays and emcees every venue in Ireland from the world famous comedy cellar ,the international comedy club, the laughter lounge ,the empire Belfast, to city limits in Cork while also becoming a firm favourite across the water, a regular on the London circuit and in the legendary stand venues in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, where he's has played at the best of Irish at the Edinburgh fringe. for the last 3 years, while also making a great reputation as one of the hardest working comedians on the circuit the future looks very bright for this likeable Dubliner.
Our Host Conor Drum: A regular on the UK and Ireland circuit, 2013 saw Conor perform on both RTÉ and BBC's New Comedy Awards. He recently performed his acclaimed new standup show Nutjob at the Edinburgh fringe and in Dublin's International comedy club.
This year he went to New York as the star of Irish comedy Scratch, which was named one of the Top 12 Short Films of the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
