CORMORANTS are Ellen Morgan on electric guitar and midi interface
and Wolfgang Küchler on acoustic. Both of us sing and write the songs.
Influences noted by our fans include Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello, Joe
Strummer, Ray Davies. We also think we’ve been influenced by The Cure,
Talking Heads and The Smiths, and the Waterboys.

JIM
JOHNSTONE is a Bristol musician who combines intensity and a
willingness to confront difficult subjects, with a warm heart and
muscular, complex and very enjoyable music. Here are a few quotes on his
work:
"Astonishing live… Never heard or seen an acoustic guitar played better!"
(BBC Introducing)
"Refreshingly intense, dark and brooding - reminiscent of Bowie’s experimentations with the industrial genre."
Divide & Conquer (Album)
"an album that is both futuristic and primal, detached yet tribal,
dance-fuelled but swaggers with rock and indie moves, it is progressive
yet familiar, focused yet constantly shifting."
Dancing About Architecture
"it's obvious Johnston has drive and vision…if you love classic Cabaret Voltaire, you’re in for a feast!"

HIDDEN TIDE is the alias of Bristol musician Jane Parsons, who also takes on
harsh material with great invention, using electric guitar and
programmed music.
Her songs have been described as the
soundtrack to an (unmade) Tarantino movie, and tread a still lonely path
shared by artists like Nadine Shah, while channeling the best of 80s
synth-pop.
"Defiant indie art-pop"
