Mic Check 1, 2 Promotions Presents Paigey Cakey & Lady Leshurr

-Mic Check 1, 2 Promotions presents two of the UK's biggest and most talked about female rappers Paigey Cakey and Lady Leshurr.

Known for her vocal work with techno duo Orbital, Leshurr is setting the scene alight with her lyrical style, gaining support from BBC 1Xtra and recongnition as Best Female at the Official Mixtape Awards. Having also established her own label Gutter Strut, Leshurr is not messing around.

Paigey Cakey has been quietly making waves as one of the most promising young new acts around. The London based rapper packs a powerful punch, and her signing to Alwayz Recordings, shows her meteoric rise in just a few short years. Think pop music with high octane energy, thick bass lines, soulful vocals and some supersonic raps, all with a gritty hint of grime.

If you know about these two amazingly talented rappers, then you’ll expect nothing less than two hype performances and top-notch lyrics.

In support there’s some soulful R’n’B fusion from Welsh act Baby Queens. Criss-crossing between hip hop, soul, and reggae the female five piece are ready to make their mark with their debut ep. Whilst rapper Katrina Pascal will be taking some time off her weekly radio show, to demonstrate why she’s played the 02 Arena and why she’s one of the most hotly tipped emerging rappers.
