John Harris presents an introduction to Cuban history and culture, followed by Q&A. A former tour leader, John ran numerous salsa holidays to Cuba between 2004 and 2016.
You'll hear about:
Drinks at the bar and a charity auction featuring Cuban products.
Bella Cubana introduces Santería, one of Cuba's important religious traditions, focusing on Oshún - Orisha of love, beauty, sensuality, prosperity & abundance.
The talk includes dance demonstrations inspired by Oshún and her qualities.
Bella Cubana is a graduate of Havana's School of Folkloric Dance. She brings her specialist knowledge and experience of Cuban folkloric traditions.
Join Frances for a fun, social introduction to Cuban salsa. No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm!
Then social dancing until 11.00pm.
