Club comedy is coming to Oxford!

George Street Comedy Club will take place at The Wig and Pen, between 8pm - 10pm (doors open 7:30pm).

This week's headliner is Dave Anthony.

Every Friday 4 circuit acts and a pro-club headliner will take the stage in the loft room at the Wig and Pen.

Expect high drama, big laughs, revelations! It is all happening at George Street Comedy Club with a new lineup each week.

Headliner Dave Anthony

David Anthony is a rising star on the international comedy circuit, based in London but regularly performing in New York and across Europe. Known for his sharp cultural commentary, offbeat takes on modern society, and hilariously honest stories about his family, David blends clever observation with a laid-back charm that keeps audiences laughing

Opener Pravanya Pillay

Pravanya Pillay is a stand up comedian and writer. She delivers anecdotal comedy with surreal observations.

Pravanya was featured on BBC Three’s Asian Network Comedy, Comedy Central’s Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains and is a 2023 Chortle Award 'Best Newcomer Nominee'. She has supported Olga Koch and Sophie Duker on tour.

As a writer, she has written for BBC Radio 4 (The Now Show, Best Medicine and TL;DR) as well as BBC Radio Wales (Beena & Amrit and Welcome Strangers).
