Venus Classics Presents - Happy 17th Birthday Venus

Back in April 1999 Venus burst into Manchester's night life scence with a club night which would certainley have a few people talking... 

17 years later... Yes, 17 years later Venus still maintains a reputation in Manchester of one of the best club nights and talked about clubs in the city. 

Saturday 16th April we will be celebrating 17 years of Venus with a very special - "Happy 17th Birthday party" With a very special guest DJ.. We are pleased to welcome back Esquire to the decks. 

Esquire has produced some of the best know Vocal FunkyHouse tunes from back in the day which were itearlly played every week at the old Club V and are still played in Venus Classics most months.. 

Esquire’s music is aimed strictly at the dance floor, after all that’s where he spent his early clubbing days, Paradox Aintree to be exact, a club which has gone down in Liverpool’s clubbing folk lore. Esquire’s sound can best be described as skillfully created uplifting house employing big synths and pianos. Whatever it is, it’s working – from Liverpool to Lisbon; Manchester to Moscow Esquire is spreading the word and punching well above his weight.

To complete this very special birthday party we've welcomed back the old Club V Venus DJ's Ryan Stent, John Steward, Mike Lee, & Andy Clarke to play alongside Venus Classics residents Mark Tillotson, Dave Ellis & David Dunne.
