THE ROEBUCK ARE BACK IN NOTTINGHAM!!
"The Roebucks are a double-female-fronted four piece from Brighton whose idiosyncratic take on Blues Rock is at times woozy and tender, at other times earthy and visceral. While the band have been around since 2022, the addition of drumming / vocalist powerhouse Sophie Moloney in early 2024 has seen the band truly hit their stride in terms of elevating both their songwriting and their live performances to a whole new level.
Lush three-part harmonies interlace with Dwayne Allman-esque riffs and the tightest of rhythm sections to conjure up their own uniquely warm take on a familiar genre.
Signed to Goo Records in October 2024, they released their first single ‘Great British Pig’ with the label in February 2025, followed up by ‘Mona’ in June 2025, receiving excellent press and radio support, including plays from Cerys Matthews for BBC 6 Music and John Kennedy for Radio X and features in Clunk, Hard of Hearing and Far Out.
The band have been wowing audiences up and down the country over the last 18 months, and recent appearances have included festival slots at Black Deer Festival, Mutations Festival, Wanderlust and The (official) Great Escape, as well as high profile support slots with the likes of The Heavy Heavy, Langkamer, Tugboat Captain and Unbelievable Truth. This year they have completed two short UK tours and will be back out on the road in October 2025 including appearances at Down Stokes Festival in Bristol and Left Of The Dial 2025 in Rotterdam."
