Welcome to The Big Fight 19

This is your opportunity to join us and take part in The Big fight 19! The Big Fight UK constantly delivers the UK’s Best White collar experience. Our organisation is run by industry experts who, between them are professional fighters, world champions, and coaches to world champions. All of our team have pulled on gloves and been in the ring themselves at some stage, here at The Big Fight we walk the walk as well as talking the talk.

Join us as you get to train and live the fighters life while raising money for our charity partners "Lives not Knives" . An innovative, award winning, youth-led charity that works to prevent knife crime, serious youth violence and school exclusions by engaging, educating and empowering disadvantaged young people and supporting them to enjoy their lives and improve their future prospects

What is Fight camp?

You will join our 10 week fight camp Led by Jon Durrant and his coaching team. We accept all levels of ability so don't worry, if you haven't done any exercise for ages or you are a regular at the gym, our coaches have developed and will deliver a camp that works for all levels of experience. You don't have to be fit to start but you do have to start to get fit!

Expect :

- Introduction to boxing,

- Basic Punches

- Basic Defence

- Footwork

- Pad drills / combinations

- Advanced defence

- Sparring sessions (including 4 mandatory sessions)

- Fight Prep

You will learn all the fundamental steps on your road to the ring.

Our Camp consists of

- 16 Core sessions at The Jon Durrant Training Studio, Victoria (we expect each fighter to attend a minimum of half of these sessions)

- 4 of the sessions are Manditory “Must attend sparring sessions.

- 1 White collar fight against an equally matched opponent.

(We have the above minimum attendance requirements to maintain our safety standards and ensure that you and your opponent are safely prepared to fight. )

What equipment do I need to take part ?

Those that sign up for the big fight will get a 10% discount from our Equipment Partner REVGEAR you can take a look at their kit here - https://revgeareurope.co.uk/

Everyone that takes part in our fight camps will need the following

• Open Face headguard (expect to spend £25 and upwards)

• Wraps (Expect to spend £7 and upwards)

• Gum Shield (Expect to spend £5 and upwards)

• Groin Guard (Mandatory for men) (Expect to spend £10 and upwards)

• 16oz Boxing Gloves (We recommend Revgear Gloves, you will be able to train and fight in these gloves which are the official Big Fight UK Gloves)

You can reasonably get kitted out for under £100. With Gum Shields, head guards and gloves we recommend you buy the best that you can afford.

Is there a Cost?

Your entire fight camp is free!

We ask that by signing up you agree to sell a minimum of 10 tickets to your fight (this covers the cost of the show) and Raise £50 for Lives not Knives through a dedicated Just giving fundraising page that you create before you start training.

Training times

Training start date - Tuesday 24th January 2023

Tuesday and Thursday 8pm - 1 Hour sessions

Fight Night

The Big Fight 19 Fight Night will take place on Sunday 2nd April 2023 at The Clapham Grand.

OK I'm in, what are my next steps ?

1. Complete the sign up on Fatsoma

2. You will be sent an email confirming you have a space and asking you to complete our online disclaimer and upload a recent photo of yourself that will be used for your fighter profile and our admin purposes. (Examples can be seen on our insta @thebigfightuk)

3. Set up your Just giving fundraising page and connect to our team page. (instructions will be sent in confirmation email)

4. Attend our fight camp where you must meet a minimum of 50% attendance and that must include 4 mandatory sparring sessions. You will be asked to use our QR code register for every session that you attend. (The minimum attendance is so that we can ensure that all sparring and fights have been properly and safely prepared for, dates for the mandatory sessions will be found in your confirmation email)

5. Fundraise and sell your tickets! You can start your fundraising as soon as you have created the page and we urge you to get started with this as soon as you can. Tickets will go on sale the day after the first training session, you will be able to sell paper ticket and online tickets and tables.

Big Fight UK League

Everyone who takes part in any of our shows will now have the opportunity to compete in the Brand New Big Fight league! If its your first time ever or you have fought with us serval times everyone is welcome!!! 

Join the ranks of The Big Fight UK's finest fighters and work your way up the leaderboard of 'The Big Fight UK's League'

That's right, fight for your pride, for progression and for a spot in the 'Big Fight Top 5'.

You could also earn the opportunity to compete for one of The Big Fight UK's Championship titles and yes that comes with a BIG FIGHT CHAMPIONS BELT!!

Join previous Big Fight Title holders with your own title! Our title holders have gone on to great things in the fight world including Headline shows and fighting on big world title professional shows including Bellator!

Many of our Big Fight fighters also go on to successful amateur and pro careers,

The Big Fight UK has a proven history as "A breeding ground for talent".

How does Big Fight League work? 

If you have fought with the Big Fight UK (including our other brands; Virgin Contender, Industry Boxing, Fight4Grenfell and Pride Boxing) since May 2022, your results have been calculated into a league table. If you fought with us before May 2022 you will be invited to submit your Big Fight Boxing History which will then be verified by our team.

You will then be eligible to compete in your weight class for top 5 status and could even fight for a TITLE SHOT! (Those fighting for a title will need to sell 20 tickets)
