30-31 October 2021 The four waterfalls walk and Pen y fan in the Brecon beacons.
On the Saturday we will meet at 12.00pm for the four waterfalls circular walk. This one is not to be missed, a big favourite that you can comeback to time and again. See the waterfalls at there autumn best with the surrounding woodland turning various shades of gold, orange and red. The real showstopper is Sgwd-yr-eira which you can walk behind and out the other side. This walk takes around 3.5 hours and is not too strenuous but does include some short steep paths that can be muddy.
On the Sunday we will be heading up Pen y fan the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. Corn du will also be summited, and possibly more which we'll judge at the time. Stunning views of glacial valleys, mountain peaks and ridges and open moorland. This hike will take around 6 hours.
It is an open event and there will obviously be a mix of fitness levels so we will be moving at a casual pace with regular breaks that is suitable for everybody.
