Just a café, everyone single. Because the world in 2025 is all about meeting IRL, not on dating apps!

This Thursday we are playing matchmaker, taking over Paradis Café and filling it with local singles, ages 30 & up!  Paradis is more than just a café, they offer the perfect environment to connect with others in real life. Sip on some delicious drinks, snack on some delectable tapas and take in the cozy chic vibes that Mission Hills offers. Yes, this event is for singles 30+!

💖 Where: Paradis - 901 W Washington St

 💘 Age Range: 30+

✨ Tickets: Early Bird: $20 || General Admission: $28 || At-the-door (aka at the event): $32

Please note: No refunds for no shows. Ticket is only good for event and date listed on ticket.

Upon arrival head up to event entrance where your San Diego host will be there to greet you, scan your ticket and get you checked in! You will then be directed to complete the matchmaking questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists. Once completed, you can head inside and get to yappin'! Matches will be revealed later into the event via text! Please refer to the event structure below

Reminder: This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time!

• 6:30pm—the event begins -- Early Bird ticket holders to arrive!
• 8:00pm— "doors close" & algorithm begins computing matches -- all ticket holders must arrive and complete questionnaire in order to participate!
• 8:15pm— 1st round of clues are revealed via text (find your group!)
• 8:30pm— 2nd round of clues are revealed (via text)
• 8:45pm—matches revealed via text (finally!)
• 9:30pm—event concludes!

Keep in Mind:

• The matching process is highly intentional—come with an open mind!
• If your match isn’t love at first sight, that’s okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, you’ll be values-aligned.
• At the end of the day, this will be a great group of single people. Enjoy meeting everyone, and remember to be kind.

What if I don't get a match? We aim to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. In the event of no match, people receive a comp'd ticket to a future event, valid for 60 days after this event.

🎫 When the event sells out, there will be more tickets released at 8pm on the day of the event and entrance will be at the venues/hosts discretion.

🥰 Many attendees (40%) come by themselves, so even if you’re the only single in your friendship group, don’t hesitate to join us solo. You’ll find yourself in great company.
