Carl (The Social) & Green Lanes Jungle

Hosted by Illmatika

Social Jungle is back for another legendary Christmas party and Carl’s birthday bash. Last year we welcomed the godfathers of D&B, Fabio and Grooverider for a December special which did not disappoint. And we are back again, big bad and heavy, with two more stone cold legends in the basement.

Jumpin Jack Frost should need little introduction of course, the V Recordings founder alongside Bryan G, and of course Mr Leviticus himself, the man behind the monolithic D&B beast that is The Burial. The tune celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a massive rerecorded and rereleased version on the mighty Def Jam. Still a giant of a record, obligatory to be on the dancefloor when it is dropped on Saturday 5 December.

Joining Frost is our second special guest DJ Ron aka The Jungle Don aka Sarsaparilla Kid aka The Golden Child! A figure forever intertwined with the history of jungle and drum and bass, hugely respected as a founding father of the scene. Ron played most of the seminal jungle parties and was a resident at crucial rave organisations such as Telepathy, Pirate Club, Desert Storm, Sunday Roast, VIP Champagne Bash and Jungle Fever.

DJ support as always comes from resident amateurs Carl and Nash (aka Green Lanes Jungle) plus very special guest slots from Ros Atkins (Rave Machine) and hosted by the legendary Illmatika on the mic too!
