DnB Kitchen presents: Mefjus, Malux, Vowel + Support

After a long year out of hosting events, we're proud to announce that our next installment features one of the hottest prospects the scene has to offer, for his very first time in Exeter - MEFJUS! 

Based out of Linz, north Austria, Martin Schober is a singular protagonist at the forefront of this beguiling game we call drum & bass. Now working closely with Vision - the label run by kindred studio spirits Noisia - Mefjus continues to fine-tune his musical syntax, technical dexterity, eye for detail and deft groove sensibilities. The latest chapter to savour this on-going flux of development is his second album ‘Manifest’. Released April 2018, ‘Manifest’ is the sound of Mefjus 2.0.

Alongside Mefjus we are very proud to present one of DnB's most talented producers, MALUX.

Malux is the DnB moniker of respected bass music pioneer SKOPE, with years of production experience behind him and a rich imagination, rendering him capable of exquisite audio manipulation and diverse funk aesthetics. Malux achieved a huge amount in the first year of the project’s existence. Covering an incredible amount of ground in very little time, and penetrating deep into the drum & bass sphere. 

With many releases under his belt with labels such as Invisible, Eatbrain, C4C, Program and The Prototypes’ Get Hype, as well as headline performances at Fabric, Boom Town, Let It Roll and Nu Forms festival, Malux's momentum is set to grow and grow throughout 2018.

Our third and final headliner has been on our radar for a while. If you haven't heard of Vowel then we seriously suggest you go and check out his music.

Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, now based in the heart of Bristol’s thriving underground music scene, Vowel (aka Miguel Almeida) has been honing his DJ skills and fine tuning his sound for the past 4 years. Fusing tech inspired sounds with polished, crisp productions, cinematic build-ups and fast paced drops, Vowel is inspired by the darker, more neuro driven sounds of drum and bass.

2017 saw his release of Clockwise/Timeframe on the ever growing and internationally respected label Lifestyle Recordings and has quickly earned him support from the likes of June Miller, Noisia, Billain & Bad Company; through whom Vowel will be releasing his debut EP, forthcoming on their imprint Bad Taste Recordings.
