Varsity Friday Night Lights

Such a fantastic event last year that we’ve brought it back bigger and better and this year it’s the preclude to Super Bowl LII.  American Football, Lacrosse and Cheer combine again for an American sports themed event.  Held under floodlights with a strong alumni presence, there will be a series of fixtures happening at the venue throughout the evening.  Is this the year that Bristol Barracuda’s finally overturn the UWE Bullets?   

VARSITY OATH

The UWE vs. UoB Varsity Series is a showcase and celebration of student sports and societies in the city of Bristol, and I am proud and honored to represent my university in the competition.

On behalf of all competitors and spectators, I promise that I will take part in Varsity and ensure that we compete it true spirit, displaying, fair play and respect for our opposition.

We will give our all for our team mates and our university and will abide by the rules the govern our sport or activity.

We will respect all competitors and spectators of the race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age or social class and will respect all the facilities and communities in which the competition takes place.

We win together, we lose together and we compete together.

Pride, Respect, Fair play.

This is the spirit of the Varsity Series 2017-18, and I am proud to represent my university in the competition.

In support of this both institutions have developed a Student Conduct Policy which we would ask all Competitors and Supporters alike to read and adopt.
