We would like to celebrate our first year at The Foundry, a lot of hard work and determination has gone into the club to bring Torbay and South Devon the best in current Electronic music.

14TH April 2018 SAVE THE DATE!!!.

CHRIS LORENZO:
Chris Lorenzo's rise to the upper echelons of the house and bass scene is one of electronic music's more notable success stories. Widely acknowledged for pioneering a sound that has become increasingly prominent throughout the UK, US and many other parts of the world, Lorenzo's flawless production and high-octane DJ sets have earned him a fanatical and ever-growing global following.

Recent successes include the release of his debut album Destroy The Image which hit #30 in the iTunes chart, along with the sold-out UK and US tours that followed. 2017 also saw Lorenzo launching his Bass Mentality brand, hosting a stage at MADE Festival with set from The Streets' Mike Skinner, Cause & Affect and Lorenzo himself. The Bass Mentality concept will be further realised with the release of several EPs and a huge UK tour in 2018.

Other key 2017 festival appearances included Reading, Leeds, SW4 in the UK, Amnesia Ibiza, Shambala (Canada), Hard Summer and Dirtybird Campout (USA) with Lorenzo further stamping his authority as one of the key proponents of North American's bass house revolution. Further success came in the shape of his collaboration with Chris Lake, Nothing Better, which stormed to over 1 million streams in the first month of release after heavy rotation from Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show.

Lorenzo's reputation as a master craftsman in the studio has made him one of the most in-demand producers currently working today. In the last few years he's collaborated with the likes of Skrillex (Come Again), Steve Aoki (Delirious), Chris Lake (Nothing Better, The Calling) and Katy B (I Wanna Be), with his 2015 collab with Hannah Wants reaching #13 in the UK singles chart, and clocking up over 20 millions streams in the process.

One of the most prolific and acclaimed producers of the last few years, Lorenzo continues champion a sound he was instrumental in popularising, and remains at the very top of his game.

FRED V & GRAFIX:

Three years on from exclusively signing to Hospital Records and Exeter duo Fred Vahrman and Josh Jackson have taken the drum & bass lands by storm, sweeping through with their melodic and euphoric waves in a whirlwind of musicality and dance-floor destruction.

Influenced by a wide-spanning range of sounds outside of the realms of drum & bass, from rock, funk, soul & jazz; Fred V & Grafix cite artists such as Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Bombay Bicycle Club, Biffy Clyro, Alt-J, Ben Howard, The 1975 and The Naked & Famous as key inspirations, alongside fellow Hospital D&B artists, High Contrast and Logistics.

After several releases on Talkin Beatz, Allsorts & Viper Recordings, Fred V & Grafix were a clear-cut choice for worldwide drum & bass imprint Hospital Records, making their first appearance with the label as part of the 'Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records' compilation with 'Find My Way'. Since then they've made their way through to the top of the ranks with a succession of standout releases.

As well as producers in their own right, Fred V & Grafix have stunned us with their remixing skills shaking up Emeli Sande's 'Daddy' and Rudimental's chart-topping no. 1 hit 'Feel The Love'. They've recently impressed with their spin on SecondCity's 'What Can I Do', Bipolar Sunshine's 'Daydreamer' and Kele's 'Closer'.

TIEKS:

Upon hearing ‘Sunshine’, you may be rightly inclined to think you’ve just discovered your favorite unearthed house or garage gem. The mastermind behind this fresh faced offering however is none other than London producer-come-songwriter TIEKS, his inaugural single on Ministry of Sound to be released 25th September, albeit making it no less likely to become a quintessential summer jam.

TIEKS already boasts an impressive CV, which includes his debut single ‘Sing That Song’ (feat. Celeste) released last year on Atlantic, writing and production credits for Florence & The Machine, Duke Dumont, Ben Khan and Jess Glynne (being a natural rhythm man, he is
responsible for the drum production on her #1 single ‘Hold My Hand’) as well as killer remixes for Rudimental and MNEK among others.

‘Sunshine’ brings his gift for songwriting and production from behind the studio desk to the very forefront. Featuring an impossibly addictive, uplifting and timeless vocal refrain (introducing new talent Dan Harkna), breezy Balearic piano chords and a groove as undeniable as any you’re likely to come across this summer, ‘Sunshine’ is a much needed shot of elegant modern dance music with a classic sensibility.
