Danny started 2016 hot on the heels of his successful 2015 project ‘ONTAW’. This was a project to release One New Tune A Week for a year with accompanying videos and blogs. This took him on 3 official UK tours, one of which was his first headline tour. This project was received greatly by the people who have followed his music since seeing him supporting acts such as James Bourne(Busted), Beans on Toast, The King Blues, Charlie Simpson, Bastille and Frank Turner to name a few. These gigs were amongst the approximate 700 gigs that Danny has done up until this point.
The release that preceded ONTAW was an EP called ‘Optimist’, which was recorded at Sticky Studios (Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Paloma Faith). This EP was the first sign of Danny’s change in musical direction. This direction was to try find a perfect blend of Folk and Pop.
2016 was supposed to be the year when Danny took a break to focus on writing songs for his debut album (due for release March 2017), however 'taking a break' is not for Danny. In the midst of writing songs, Danny teamed up with Ryan Hamilton and The Traitors to embark on a 10 date UK tour, which was a massive success for the two unsigned artists.
